Standard rubber strap brackets are sized to specific cylinder diameters. They require a flat mounting surface and rely on strap tension to hold position. On vehicle frames, equipment cabs, and forklifts, that mounting method fails under sustained vibration. The cylinder shifts, the strap loosens, and the extinguisher base sits in contact with whatever surface moisture collects on.
The Grip Bracket uses a V-type tension assembly that fits all cylinder sizes from 2.5 lb to 30 lb on a single bracket. The V-grip elevates the cylinder base off the mounting surface regardless of orientation. It attaches to curved and irregular surfaces where flat-base brackets cannot seat correctly. That covers the full range of industrial fire safety equipment mounting scenarios: highway trucks, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, locomotives, and conveyors.
Standard vinyl covers carry a UV rating of one to two years and no rated resistance to chemical exposure. The AR Fire cover uses 6-8 mil copolymer construction with a 2-year UV rating and tested resistance to fly ash, fertilizers, and industrial oils. The Caddy configuration carries a 7-year UV rating. The same copolymer material is used across both products. Neither rots, swells, nor traps moisture. Each unit meets NFPA 10 Section 6.1.3.7 requirements for workplace fire protection equipment on job sites, vehicles, and outdoor installations.
Why Industrial Fire Extinguisher Accessories Matter
Standard fire extinguisher covers typically use reinforced vinyl or acrylic-coated polyester. Standard brackets use rubber straps or spring clips sized to specific extinguisher diameters. These products are designed primarily for indoor installation and light outdoor use. AR Fire Equipment products are engineered differently. We developed patented copolymer formulations specifically for fire extinguisher protection. Our designs address the documented failure points we've identified across thousands of field inspections in Western Canada.
Fire Extinguisher Grip Bracket
Standard brackets use rubber straps or spring clips sized to specific cylinder diameters, requiring multiple SKUs for different extinguisher sizes. They also use flat mounting bases that allow water to collect underneath the cylinder.
The Grip Bracket uses a patented V-type design with tension hardware that accommodates all cylinder sizes from 2.5 lb to 30 lb with a single bracket. The V-grip elevates the extinguisher base off the mounting surface, eliminating water pooling. The bracket can be mounted in any orientation on walls, vehicles, plant machinery, and equipment cabs.
Fire Extinguisher Caddy
The Extinguisher Caddy is a complete protection system that replaces wooden job-site enclosures. The patented copolymer body resists rot, UV degradation, and chemical exposure. Eight drainage channels direct water and debris away from the extinguisher rather than allowing it to pool against the cylinder. Each unit includes a matching cover and wall bracket.
The ergonomic top handle is designed for field use, providing a secure grip for transport across uneven terrain or rapid deployment in emergencies.
Fire Extinguisher Cover
Standard extinguisher covers use reinforced vinyl or acrylic-coated polyester with hook-and-loop closures, typically offering one to two years of UV protection. Our cover uses patented 8 mil copolymer construction rated for temperature extremes from -100 C to +100 C. The material resists fly ash, fertilizers, oil, and industrial contaminants that degrade standard covers.
The full-cylinder design encases the entire extinguisher while maintaining gauge visibility and inspection tag access. UV protection is rated for two years, double the typical industry standard.
At AR Fire Equipment Innovation, our certified professionals are trained to inspect and maintain every service we offer — efficiently, accurately, and affordably.
“Fire extinguishers installed under conditions where they are subject to physical damage shall be
adequately protected.”
NFPA 10 Section 6.1.3.7 applies to job sites, vehicles, and outdoor installations. AR Fire Equipment
products are designed to help meet this requirement.
The Fire Extinguisher Cover carries a rated 2-year UV resistance and resists fly ash, fertilizers, and oils, which are the industrial contaminants most commonly cited in physical damage assessments. The Grip Bracket mounts the cylinder off the surface and in any orientation, satisfying accessibility and visibility requirements. The Caddy encloses and elevates the cylinder for job sites and outdoor installations where fixed mounting is not available. Inspectors working to NFPA-compliant fire safety equipment standards will find each product addresses a specific protection requirement in the code.
AR Fire supplies commercial fire extinguisher parts to facility managers, fleet operators, safety distributors, and construction contractors across Canada and the United States.
Because the Grip Bracket fits 2.5 lb to 30 lb cylinders on a single SKU, fleet and facility orders do not require size-matched purchasing across multiple bracket models. A contractor equipping a mixed fleet of service trucks and heavy equipment orders one bracket and one cover SKU across the entire deployment.
Bulk fire extinguisher accessories are available with volume pricing. Distribution partnership programs are open to qualifying resellers. Product samples ship for evaluation before volume orders are placed. Custom color and logo printing is available on covers for fleet identification. Specification sheets and compliance documentation for outdoor fire extinguisher protection programs are available on request.
